Board of Directors

Erie Shores HealthCare is a community hospital managed by a Board of Directors representing the communities it serves.

Any resident who is over the age of 18 and a resident in the catchment area for more than three months is eligible to be nominated to the Board of Directors. The catchment area includes the geographic limits of the following municipalities:

Municipality of Leamington
Town of Kingsville
Town of Essex
Town of Amherstburg
Town of Lakeshore
Town of Tecumseh
Township of Pelee Island
Municipality of Chatham-Kent communities of Wheatley and Romney

Our Board has 13 Director positions and community representatives on various Board Committees. Board members can serve a maximum of three three-year terms (9 consecutive years) without a service break. The Governance Committee, responsible for nominating Board members, strives to balance the Board membership with gender, age and ethnic diversity, as well as the skills and experience needed for a Board to oversee a complex healthcare organization.
