Welcome to Leamington District Memorial Hospital's Neighbourhood of Care- a hub for mental health  & addiction services. In our neighbourhood you can expect to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Our neighbourhood is a private and quiet space where you can ge the help that you need. Counselling Services- Family Services Windsor- Essex Walk- In Counselling Clinic

Description:  The Walk-In Clinic provides quick and immediate access to professional counselling for individuals, couples and families.  No appointment is necessary.  Walk-In counselling can help you with a broad range of issues including, depression, work-life balance, family conflict and job loss. This service is delivered by Family Services Windsor Essex and funded by the United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex  County

Schedule: Monday of the month (excluding holidays) 10am-4pm  on a first come-first served basis from

LDMH Mental Health and Addictions Nurse

Description: Contact us if you have questions regarding Mental Health/Addictions Services.  Referrals, consultations, STOP Program and counselling are available; an intake can determine eligibility and suitability for programs.

Schedule:  Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm

Family Services Windsor Essex- Client Intervention Program

Description: Agency staff assist adults with a disability and/or seniors to connect with services, address problems and conflicts. This program is funded by the Erie St. Clair Local Health Integration Network. Through our client-centered programs and the promotion of public awareness, we enhance the quality of life for those we serve while empowering them to exercise their rights, freedoms and autonomy. We provide education on various resources and rights available to our clients and help them to solve their problems.

Schedule: Thursdays 9 am to 12 pm

Support Groups– Mood Disorders

Description:  For  individuals living with a mood disorder such as bipolar or depression. You are not alone. A free, drop-in, peer-led support group.  We provide a confidential and comforting environment to share personal experiences, get useful information, and listen to advice and ideas from others dealing with similar situations.

Schedule:  1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, from 7-9pm

Support Groups – National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

Description:  Educational and support series for friends and family members of those suffering mental illness.  The FREE 12-week program is offered twice a year at LDMH. Enroll now for the next session.

Schedule:  Tuesdays, 6- 9 pm. Two sessions per year

VON Chronic Pain Management Clinic

Description:  CPMARP team provides in depth pain assessments to those persons suffering from chronic pain within the Erie St. Clair District. Thorough pain assessments are completed by one or more members of the multidisciplinary team. Together the team, with consulting physicians, will provide each referred client with effective individualized treatment options and recommendations for ongoing pain management. Appointments will be provided for the client to be seen at a location closest to their residence. Participants must;

• have non cancer-related pain

• NOT be considered end of life (palliative comfort care)

• be diagnosed with chronic pain for more than 3 consecutive months.

Note: Patients with active WSIB/motor vehicle accident claim are not eligible. Cost: OHIP covered. Physician or Nurse Practitioner referral required.

Windsor Women Working With Immigrant Women (Servicing MEN and Women)

Description:  Settlement and integration to Canada can be a complicated process, and sometimes having someone to talk to can help. New Canadians report feeling overwhelmed, sad, isolated or even unable to stop thinking about life and family back home and the events that took place there.

• Services are currently available for Permanent Residents (Landed Immigrants) or Government       Assisted Refugees and are funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada

• Translation or non-English service may be available

• Clients are welcome to self-refer, or by community partner.

Schedule: Wednesdays- drop in or by appointment

Description:   Intensive Case Management, Education Sessions, individual/family counselling, bereavement

Hiatus House Intake & Service Co-Ordination

Description:  Crisis intervention services are available on the phone and in person. Hiatus House is a social service agency offering confidential intervention for families experiencing domestic violence.

Schedule: Mondays, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Community University Partnership

Description: Individual and Group Programing & Support Forms clinic, Anger Management and moreThe Community-University Partnership is a non-profit collaboration between residents in social housing neighbourhoods, the University of Windsor and community services.

Mental Health Connections

Description:  Our centre provides a welcoming environment in which each person can access a variety of social, recreational, educational, vocational and peer activities – both on-site and in the community. Mental Health Connections provides integrated psychosocial rehabilitation services to Windsor-Essex County adults with mental illness during their recover process. Services are provided at no cost.  Group Programming, Activities and Education for individuals with Mental Health Issues.

Problem Gambling Services (Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare)

Description:   Treatment for individuals with a gambling problem, famillies and friends. Also addressing computer, internet and video gram addictions. Residential treatment available. Please call for an appointment.

Maryvale Adolescent & Family Services – Walk-in Counselling  (appointments may also be provided upon request)

Description:  Youth aged 13-17 and their families. Treatment focuses on a broad range of issues affecting ones mental health including depression, anxiety, peer issues, and/or family conflict. We will also assist upon request connecting individuals and families with various other services in the community should there be a need identified such as Triple P parenting seminars. There is no fee for this service. This service will also assist in connecting those in immediate crisis with the necessary urgent care.

Schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays walk-in from, 10am to 4 pm
